今日きょう、私わたしは初はじめて茶道さどうの教室きょうしつへ行いきました。少すこし緊張きんちょうしましたが、とても楽たのしみにしていました。先生せんせいは優やさしい方かたで、私わたしたちに茶道さどうの歴史れきしと、その大切たいせつな精神せいしんについて教おしえてくださいました。茶道さどうとは、単たんにお茶ちゃを飲のむだけでなく、心こころを落おち着つかせ、相手あいてを思おもいやる時間じかんなのだと先生せんせいはおっしゃいました。

まず、お辞儀じぎの仕方しかたや座すわり方かたなど、基本きほんの動うごきを習ならいました。正座せいざは足あしが痺しびれて大変たいへんでしたが、他ほかの生徒せいとさんたちも皆みな頑張がんばっていたので、私わたしも負まけじと頑張がんばろうと思おもいました。次つぎに、お茶碗ちゃわんの持もち方かたや、お湯ゆを注そそぐ練習れんしゅうをしました。先生せんせいは「一期一会いちごいちえ」という言葉ことばを説明せつめいしてくれました。先生せんせいは、その意味いみをこう説明せつめいしてくれました。「今日きょうのこの出会であいは二度にどとない。だからこそ、大切たいせつにしなさい」と。

最後さいごに、先生せんせいが点たててくれたお茶ちゃをいただきました。抹茶まっちゃは少すこし苦にがかったですが、とても香かぐり高たかく、美味おいしかったです。茶菓子ちゃがしも季節きせつのもので、甘あまくてお茶ちゃとよく合あいました。茶道さどうは本当ほんとうに奥おくが深ふかいと感かんじました。今回こんかい、日本にほんの文化ぶんかを体験たいけんできて、とても良よい経験けいけんになりました。これからも続つづけて、もっと勉強べんきょうしたいです。

English Translation

Today, I went to a tea ceremony class for the first time. I was a little nervous, but I had been really looking forward to it. The teacher was very kind, and she taught us about the history of the tea ceremony and its important spiritual essence. She explained that the tea ceremony is not merely about drinking tea; it is a precious time to calm one's mind and show consideration for others.

First, I learned basic movements, such as how to bow and how to sit. Sitting in seiza position made my legs go numb, and it was quite tough. However, seeing all the other students diligently doing their best, I also resolved to try my hardest and not be outdone. Next, we practiced how to hold the tea bowl and pour hot water. The teacher explained the meaning of 'Ichigo Ichie' to us. She said, 'Today's encounter will never happen again. That is precisely why you should cherish it.'

Finally, I received and drank the tea the teacher prepared for us. The matcha was a little bitter, but it was very fragrant and delicious. The tea sweets were seasonal, sweet, and paired well with the tea. I deeply felt the profoundness of the tea ceremony. Experiencing Japanese culture firsthand this time was a truly valuable experience. I want to continue learning more about it from now on.
